Some time ago, ETAG launched a call for proposals to promote science. A total of 97 projects were submitted and 29 were selected. One of the lucky ones was Osiliana!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The grant is intended for the production of audiovisual material presenting early history of Saaremaa. The project will produce seven short videos, or micro-documentaries, presenting the end of Saaremaa’s prehistory and the beginning of the Middle Ages, as well as certain historical sites. One of these will give an overview of Saaremaa in the Viking Age, one at the beginning of the Middle Ages, while the others will present specific sites.<\/p>

Sites have been selected from among those that have been the subject of significant archaeological discoveries in recent decades: the Tuulingum\u00e4e cemetery complex in T\u00f5nija, the Lepna cemetery, the Viidum\u00e4e sacrificial site, the Valjala hillfort and the Karja cemetery.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
